"Don't we know that!" Brian yelled.I ran over to the kitchen and started to grab a beer when all 4 girls came in and closed the door, staring straight at me with huge smiles. "What?" I asked, obviously clueless. "Well, you seem, really happy!" "Uhh, okay.Aren't I always happy?" "Well, it's different right now." I stared at Kay, trying to figure out what she meant. "What?" He leaned in to kiss me, but I shook my head no.He nodded, understanding that it probably wasn't the best place to kiss me.I walked back in and sighed again, sitting up on one of the counters. "Well then Mercedes, since you won't tell me what is going on, at least answer me one question." "Yeah?" "Do you still like Syn?" "Deyanna, you have no idea." We all started laughing, while I sat staring out the window, looking at the man who stole my heart.

I walked back outside, looking at all the guys who seemed to have forgotten whatever they were talking about, to look at me. "What?" "Well, what the fuck happened in there?" "Yeah, that was strange dude." "What was?" "How you just fucking called her in there.I tried going with you but you got all bitchy and shit.Okay, well, maybe not bitchy, but you got freaked." "Whatever Zack." "I just want to know what the fuck is going on.If her brother found out, ooo.You'd be dead." "Found out what?" "That you like her." "Yeah," Jimmy butted in. "...It seems like her whole fucking family is against guys like us." "Her fucking mom is no exception to that, lemme tell ya." "Whoa, you met her mom?" Everyone was in the backyard except for me, Brian, and Kalaya. "Hey Cedes, come here." "Yeah Bri?" "Just come over here." "Why?" He had a sly grin on his face, making me question whether or not to go over to him.I did anyway, but soon regretted it. "Brian quit!!Haha!" I ran out the back door with Brian chasing me, trying to tickle me.Matt looked at us like we were the most retarded people on the planet. "Syn, what are you doing to her?" "Making her laugh." "Yeah, you guys all know that i'm ticklish.But he uses that against me.Aggh!" "Come here!" "No way!" I ran close to the pool and he bolted after me.I was close to the edge when he finally stopped. "Okay, okay.I'll stop now." "Good!" "Just stay there.Okay?" "Why?Oh, you better not even..." But before I could finish he pushed me into the pool, my clothes clinging onto me as I stood up. "What the hell?" "Sorry, I had to." I sighed and looked at him. "Well, since you're the one who did this, can you at least help me get out?" "Alright, fine." As soon as I had a tight enough grip on his hand, I pulled him in with me. "He soon floated back up to glare at me.I had a triumphant look on my face. "Haha, I got you good." "Whatever." Jimmy walked over and laughed at us, small waves going back and forth while we just stood there. "What are you laughing at Jim?" "You and dumbass over here.You kids done now?" "Jimmy, do you want me to have to pull you in too?" "Fine fine, i'll back off." "Grr." "What the fuck Cedes, grr?" "Yeah, so what?" "And I am not a dumbass." "Yeah you are Bri." Matt walked over to where Jimmy was and stared at Brian, raising his eyebrow.He mouthed something to him, but I couldn't tell what it was.Brian just shook his head furiously. "Alright you guys.Go get some towels and dry off." "Okay dad.Gaw!" "Yeah, you better listen to me Cedes." "Sure Matt, whatever you say." As me and Bri got out, everyone's eyes were glued to us, most everybody still laughing.We walked inside and made sure no one was still in the house. "Well, that was fun." "Sorry about pushing you in, I just couldn't resist." "I know, it was 'refreshing' I guess." He walked closer to me, and soon I found myself in his arms kissing him.It was just us there, in the hallway.I had my arms around his neck, pulling lightly at his long hair.My back was against the wall, and we were standing. "Cedes?Syn?" I pulled away to see a very confused Matt.Oh shit.
